Annual Youth Festival

Yuva Pratibha Sangeetotsavam

SKGS organises “Yuva Pratibha Sangeethotsavam”, the Annual National Youth Festival of Music, every year in the month of September. This Sangeetotsavam is particularly aimed at encouraging young and upcoming performing artistes in the age group of 15 to 25 years. The Sangeetotsavam features two concerts on each day. The duration of the concert will be 1hr 15 mins. Aspiring Young Musicians who wish to participate during the Annual youth festival may send their profiles and Audio CDs either to our email yps@srikartikeyaganasabha.org or send to the mailing address of SKGS before 30th June of Every year. Please note that application for participation does not guarantee an opportunity for performance.

SKGS also gives the following awards under Endowments for meritorious performances during the festival

  1. Yuva Pratibha Puraskaram for an outstanding performance
  2. Promising Young Talent Award  – Vocal for Best Concert
  3. Promising Young Talent Award – Instrumental for Best Concert
  4. Promising Young Talent Award – Percussion for Best Accompaniment
  5. Visesha Pratibha Puraskaram for a Meritorious concert

 

Yuva Pratibha Sangeetotsavam – 2019 was held from 13th September 2019 – 15th September 2019 (3 days).  Lead Artistes featured in this edition of the festival are Bharath Narayan, Chennai, Anjani Srinivasan, Chennai, Madhuri Kaushik, Bengaluru,  Swarathmika, Chennai, Arushi Ramesh, Chennai & Sreedevi Pravallika, Gudivada, A.P.  The accompanying artistes Viz,. Violin & percussion featured are Hemadri Chandrakanth, Vijayawada, Apoorva Krishna, Hyderabad, S Aswini, Chennai, Jayendra Kumar, Chennai, Suriya Nambisan, Chennai, Krishna Sravan, Hyderabad & Hari Kishore, Hyderabad.  The list of Awardees for the year 2019 will be announced Shortly.
